Michele claims to have been a tax attorney and now claims to be a defender of the taxpayers by advocating against the new cigarette tax and by authoring TABOR in MN. It is well documented that Michele has consistently lied about her efforts on TABOR by refusing to accept offers for a hearing on the bill. But let's look at her history as a "tax attorney."
It turns out that Michele "Defender of the Taxpayers" Bachmann has a history of not defending the tax payers, but she actually went after the taxpayers as a tax collector for the IRS. In a simple WestLaw search several cases were found in which Michele Bachmann went after the common tax payers for collection of nominal amounts of money based upon their past income taxes. In one case she went after Marvin Manypenny, a graduate student and self-employed by Youth Project, Inc, a public foundation which strived to build citizen participation, around the nation, commited to issues of social justice and peace.
So there you have it, Michele made her mark by going after the common taxpayer to TAKE more money from us. Defender of the taxpayer? Hardly.
