I am a life-long Republican who grew up in your district in Minnesota. I was horrified when relatives of mine told me about a fundraiser they attended for Michele Bachmann. They asked her, "So what do you stand for." She replied, "Well, I'm against gay marriage." Regardless of what people think about this issue, the fact that THIS was her answer is indicative of who she is: a symbol of the fall of the traditional Republican values in my home state and a rise of religious social conservatism.
Bachmann supports the notion of intelligent design. This is one of the most profoundly creepy things of our lifetimes. Everything about Bachmann represents the complete failure of the last 8 years of politics - diviseness, culture wars, bigotry, hatred, religion and state, and more.
I can't vote for you here, but my my wife and I were so incensed by Michele Bachmann's bigot stance that we both donated to your campaign tonight.
