I am just absolutely amazed at how far NBC is willing to go to cover up for their hack journalists like Chris Matthews.
Like Joe the Plumber, now Michele Bachmann has been more vetted by the mainstream media than Barrack Obama.
And seriously, they dug up Nick Coleman for this one? I certainly hope the Republican Party of Minnesota is going to get involved now. Pawlenty threw Bachmann under the bus yesterday and I haven’t heard a single peep from Ron Carey. Let’s not forget that Carey is a constituent of Bachmann’s.
The full scale media attack to destroy Bachmann and twist her words is unreprehensible. This is a great time for the Party to fight back and expose the bias.
Larry Schumacher got an NRCC spokesperson to go on the record and confirm they were pulling the plug on Michele Bachmann.
UPDATE: Vernon Buck, spokesman for NRCC, confirmed for me that they have canceled an ad buy on behalf of U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann, R-Minn., but declined to elaborate on reasons or any future involvement in the race.
My bet is, they've done a poll since the weekend, and she's either safe enough to leave her on her own, or so damaged that they don't think the money will help. Could be either, but Buck didn't offer me any poll results.

GOP, eyeing House losses, pulls out of key races By JULIE HIRSCHFELD DAVIS – 1 hour ago
WASHINGTON (AP) — National Republicans have yanked TV advertising for Minnesota GOP Rep. Michele Bachmann's re-election bid after she suggested Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama may have "anti-American" views and urged an investigation of unpatriotic lawmakers.
Bachmann is one of four at-risk Republican incumbents left to fend for themselves by a cash-strapped House campaign arm in the crucial final days of the campaign amid a tough political environment for the GOP . The National Republican Campaign Committee has also canceled planned TV ads to help GOP Reps. Marilyn Musgrave in Colorado, Tom Feeney in Florida and Joe Knollenberg in Michigan, spokeswoman Karen Hanretty confirmed.
Republicans played down the decision to abandon Bachmann, noting that she still has more than $1 million to get her through until Election Day.
