Bachmann's Favorite Punk Ministry Belonged to Cult With Ties to Domestic Terrorists

The Strib today listed all-but-announced Presidential candidate Michele Bachmann's issues:

And what are those issues? After the repeal of Obamacare and the debt, Bachmann listed off national security and homegrown terrorisism (sic) . She was recently named to the Intelligence Committee.

Coincidentally, Karl Bremer has a report today on Bradley Dean's ties to an extremist cult called the Embassy of Heaven:

What does Bradley Dean Smith, president of Annandale-based anti-gay hate ministry You Can Run But You Cannot Hide International (YCR), have in common with Scott Roeder, murderer of Kansas abortion provider Dr. George Tiller?

Both were affiliated with the Embassy of Heaven, a virulently anti-government religious cult in Oregon.

The Embassy of Heaven is described in “Investigating Terrorism and Criminal Extremism,” a 2010 report by the Institute for Intergovernmental Research funded by the Department of Justice, as:

“A religious/antigovernment group in Oregon headed by “Paul Revere,” the alias of a former computer analyst named Craig Douglas Fleshman. Fleshman started the Embassy of Heaven Church in 1987; it preaches a total separation from “earthly” government. Embassy members continue to make and sell the bogus license plates and other paraphernalia-18. Committed Embassy of Heaven adherents rarely ever show up for court dates and frequently go on hunger strikes when jailed.”

In the not too distant past, Bachmannn raised money and even recorded a prayer for Bradlee Dean's ministry of hate.

The mainstream media needs to ask Presidential candidate Michele Bachmann how she could support this extremist, bigoted, so-called ministry with ties to a cult that included homegrown terrorist Scott Roeder.

During the 2008 campaign season, Michele Bachmann made an issue of then candidate Barack Obama's "associations" with Rev. Jeremiah Wright:

"Why isn’t it appropriate to ask about the formative relationships he’s had? The types of relationships that may have influenced Barack Obama’s views on public policy and on government decision making? Why is the media more intent on learning the type of plumbing license Joe the Plumber has than on exploring the obvious questions about Barack Obama’s formative relationships with people such as the Rev. Jeremiah Wright and Bill Ayers — people with views far outside the mainstream, where most voters find themselves?"

Why isn't the mainstream media asking the same questions about Bachmann's "formative relationships " with Bradlee Dean and YCRBYCH?

UPDATE: Spotty at the Cucking Stool asks "If Bradley Dean Smith votes in Minnesota, is it voter fraud?"

Bradlee Dean's Ministry Posts Video of "Son of Liberty" Crashing Governor's Press Conference

The link to the video is on the YCRBYCH website

The Sons of Liberty are always fighting on the front lines for our God given liberties and today was no different. Click on the link below to watch as the Sons of Liberty confront Governor Mark Dayton as he signs an executive order for the state of Minnesota to comply with the UNCONSTITUTIONAL health care plan. We as Americans must all do our part to restore this country back to its Biblical foundation.

The page also has a request for donations.

Jake Mcmillian did not identify himself so he was identified by the media as an ordinary "citizen:

Andy Birkey spotted Bradlee Dean's sidekick. This isn't the first time Jake has disrupted a political gathering - Jake crashed a DFL meet & greet in Cokato months ago and "confronted" gubernatorial candidate John Marty on his support for marriage equality (video here).

Read more about Jake disrupting the Governor's press conference at Ripple in Stillwater, The Cucking Stool and Bluestem Prairie.

More about YCRBYCH and Bachmann's ties to the ministry in this DB post.

UPDATE: Bluestem Prairie has a good post about how the mainstream media failed to identify Jake as a member of the media, a pastor of a controversial ministry and not a mere "citizen":

It's approaching journalistic malfeasance for the press to lack the curiosity to ask a simple "five W" question about "who" that young man at the podium might be. It's their duty to ask such questions, a responsibility implied in the freedom of the press.

Michele Bachmann for President in 2012!

A new blog has been created for supporters of Bachmann for President.

http://michelebachmannforpresidentin2012.blogspot.com

On the homepage there is a tab called "Encourage Michele To Run" I strongly urge all readers to go send an email of encouragement. Feel free to be as snarky as I and use words such as 'circus,' 'nut job,' or 'death of the GOP.'

WCCO Punk'd by Bachmann

WCCO's Esme Murphy tweets:

Michele Bachmann weighs run for President - 3 days ago she told me "I am certainly not looking at the United States Presidency". Hmmm

Bachmann should have given the local media the scoop about her presidential ambitions, but Bachmann doesn't give a damn about the local media.

UPDATE: Esme Murphy just tweeted:

Just interviewed Michele Bachmann - tune into WCCO- TV at 6pm

Esme Murphy is an excellent reporter - here she is asking Bachmann about Frank Vennes (see previous post).

Bachmann Running for President to Pardon Frank Vennes Jr. Herself?

ABC News:

ABC News has learned that Bachmann, R-Minn., also is seriously weighing whether to seek the Republican nomination for president in 2012.

TPM:

Keep in mind that the last time Bachmann decided to run for a higher office -- going from state Senate to the U.S. House in 2006 -- she said that she and her husband fasted for three days, praying for confirmation from God that He was indeed calling them to do it.

As Bachmann told a friendly mega-church crowd during that campaign: "And after -- along about the afternoon of day two -- He made that calling sure."

Hart Denburg at the City Pages Blotter suspects another motive:

Or maybe it's just a publicity stunt. Bachmann's demonstrated that she knows how to ride the crazy train for headlines, and then rake in the campaign contributions that follow. As a result she's sitting on a mountain of cash left over from the 2010 election cycle that could start boosting her national visibility.

A serious run for President would be a disaster for Bachmann. She has too many skeletons in her closet... and Team Dump Bachmann has archived nearly all of them... just a few off the top of my head:

Bathroomgate.

Bachmann & the Pod People.

Bachmann's fundraising and prayers for Bradlee Dean - Karl Bremer has more recent info on the financial shenanigans of YCRBYCH here and here.

Bachmann's ties to sham charity U.S. Navy Vets... just curious how long she'll keep that photo of USNV, and pod lobbyist Edwin Cain on her Congressional website...

The Fabulous Marcus "First Husband" Bachmann.

Dump Bachmann's bizarre videos of Bachmann preaching at Mac Hammond's church.

Bachmann kissing Bush.

Bachmann's support for a group on the State Department Terrorist Watch List.

I'm sure our regular readers will remember more... and you are welcome to put them in the comments.

The biggest skeleton in Bachmann's closet has to be her letter requesting a pardon for convicted money launderer and Petters Ponzi associate Frank Vennes Jr.

Perhaps Bachmann wants to be President so she can give that pardon to Frank Vennes herself?

Bachmann's Favorite Punk Ministry Shared "Sham Ministry' Guru With Dr. Dino

Karl Bremer continues his investigative report looking into the weird financial shenanigans of Bradlee Dean's ministry of hate at the Ripple in Stillwater blog - today Karl connects a few more dots:

Did Annandale-based anti-gay hatemonger Bradley Dean Smith cut loose his You Can Run But You Cannot Hide (YCR) “ministry” from tax violator Glen Stoll in 2008 because the federal government sent one of Stoll’s other whacky ministerial trust customers to prison on federal tax violations the year before?

Kent Hovind, along with his wife, Jo Hovind, ran Creation Science Evangelism in Pensacola, FL. Among the group’s endeavors was Dinosaur Adventure Land, a sort of cheesy theme park for creationists. Working with Stoll’s Edmonds, Wa-based Remedies at Law beginning in 2002, the Hovinds concocted the Creation Science Evangelism Ministry under the auspices of a corporation sole, “Director of Ecclesiastical Enterprises,” as trustee in 2003. Stoll issued the ministry a business license from the “Kingdom of Heaven” — the same “Kingdom of Heaven” in which Bradley Smith claimed citizenship.

Kent Hovind (AKA Dr. Dino) apparently brought his wacky, creationist road show to Minnesota... Eva's DB post from 2006:

Ken Avidor and I drove to St Cloud State University for the Bachmann Amendment Horror Show. On our way into the event, we saw a bulletin board with a poster promoting the event. The Dump Bachmann poster was right next to a poster promoting Creationist Kent Hovind who was also going to be giving a talk on campus.

A Note to Our Readers

"Guest" left this in the comments to the previous post:

Gee, you guys are lagging behind Crooks & Liars and the Minnesota Independent when it comes to monitoring Bachmann's evilness. Just recently, C&L made a report about why Bachmann considered herself Republican.

Back in the mists of time, when Eva started this blog, few people knew who Senator Michele Bachmann was. The Dump Bachmann team monitored Bachmann's growing national notoriety, often supplying local stuff the national press and other blogs picked up.

Now, Bachmann is a national phenomenon. There is very little we can offer that the other blogs cannot do better.

There are, however some parts of the Bachmann story that have not been completely explained or have fallen into the memory hole.

I will continue to post original research and links to articles by Karl Bremer, but I will leave "monitoring Bachmann's evilness" to the other blogs. Please feel free to link to other articles in the comments.

Thank you and have a happy New Year .
