Michele Bachmann Gives Pink Slip to Andy "Purse-Holder" Parrish

The Strib's Rachel E. Stassen-Berger breaks the sad news: Andy Parrish, a longtime staffer to U.S. Rep. Michele Bachmann, said Friday that he is no longer working for her. Parrish, who began working with Bachmann in 2005, said he was told Friday that she was "going in a new direction." "I was told I was not part of the direction," he said. Gee, what is that new direction Bachmann is taking and why can't the ever-loyal Purse-Holder be part of it?
